correct breathing technique while running

March 24, 2023
Running is a skill that everyone knows, but running well and with high quality is not something that everyone can do. Running requires a specific breathing rate to work with in order to burn fat quickly and enhance cardio capacity. If you can't maintain the right breathing style, it will only make running more and more difficult ...... Come along and see how to breathe!

Don't just use your mouth

Some people can keep their nose breathing in the early stage of running, but, as the running time lengthens, the body becomes more and more tired, and the nose breathing can no longer meet its own demand for oxygen. So, they start to use their mouth to breathe. This method is incorrect and will only increase the burden on the heart and lungs.

Use the mouth and nose with breathing

Usually the breathing rhythm of jogging is one breath every three steps and one inhale every three steps; the breathing rhythm of medium intensity running is one inhale every two steps and one exhale every two steps; when reaching fast running to achieve the rhythm of one step and one inhale.

Mouth breathing posture

When the mouth is breathing, the mouth should be slightly open, the tip of the tongue against the palate, so that the air is inhaled from the sides of the tongue into the mouth, if in winter, this way of breathing is particularly important.

Deep breathing to adjust

After running, you can use deep breathing to quickly help the body recover its strength, so that oxygen and carbon dioxide in the lungs to achieve rapid exchange, slowly adjust the breathing rate, and discharge the body's excess waste. Although running is a commonplace sport, there are still so many things to know, do you understand them all?
