Whole Grain Rice Porridge Helps to Reduce Fat

Whole grain rice contains high levels of vitamins and fiber. Regular consumption can help to lower fat and cholesterol levels. Whole grain rice is also rich in zinc, which can improve rough skin. The best choice is whole grain rice that looks intact and has a yellowish-brown or light brown color with a fragrant aroma. Before making rice porridge, soak the whole grain rice for about 30 minutes and then cook it. It can stimulate gastric juice secretion, aiding digestion and nutrient absorption. However, it is not recommended for diabetics to directly consume this type of whole grain rice porridge as it may cause a sudden increase in blood sugar levels.

Sorghum Snacks are Nutritious

Coix seeds are plump and sticky, making them an excellent nourishing food for women. Coix seeds have a slightly cold nature, so they are not suitable for making porridge or eating alone. It is best to cook them together with some foods that have a warming effect. For example, stewing chicken legs, tomatoes, and coix seeds together not only aids digestion but also provides excellent nourishing effects. However, coix seeds are not easily digested, so it is advisable to not consume them in large quantities, especially for the elderly, children, and those with cold stomach or gastritis.
