The Efficacy of Cancer-Fighting Chinese Herb Maple Root

Introduction of Maple Root:

 

  Maple root refers to the root, rhizome, or root bark of the maple tree, a plant in the Aceraceae family. It is mainly used for dispelling wind, promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, relieving pain, and has anesthetic and muscle-relaxing effects. It is used to treat rheumatic pain, numbness paralysis, heart failure, lumbar pain due to overexertion, and injuries from falls.

  Functions: Dispels wind and dampness; relaxes tendons and activates collaterals; promotes blood circulation and relieves pain

 

  Nature and Flavor: Pungent, warm, toxic

 

  ① "Ben Cao Cong Xin": "Bitter, pungent, warm, and highly toxic."

 

  ② "Gang Mu Shi Yi": "Hot in nature, strong in strength, and toxic."

 

  ③ "Sichuan Materia Medica": "Moderate in nature, pungent in taste, and slightly toxic."

 

  Main Uses and Indications of Maple Root:

 

  ① "Ben Cao Cong Xin": "Treats paralysis caused by wind and toxins, and disperses stagnant blood."

 

  ② "Cao Mu Bian Fang": "Dispels wind, treats dampness stagnation in the waist and knees, and treats phlegm obstruction, blood stasis, abdominal distension, and injury from falls."

 

  ③ "Classified Herb": "Treats lumbar pain, relieves rheumatism and numbness, stops vomiting blood, and also treats malaria, joint and bone pain, and injuries from falls."

 

  ④ "Nanning Pharmaceutical Journal": "Used externally to wash for edema caused by deficiency-cold."

 

  Dosage and Administration of Maple Root:

 

  Internal use: Decoction, rhizome 0.5-1 qian, root 1-2 qian (this product is toxic, the dosage must be strictly controlled, starting with a small dosage until the patient experiences varying degrees of weakness and fatigue); or soaked in alcohol.

 

  External use: Decoction for washing.

 

  Prescription for Cancer Treatment with Maple Root:

 

  1. Esophageal Cardia Cancer

 

  10g maple root, 30g Augustus tea, 15g Prunella vulgaris, 15g Scutellaria baicalensis, 15g Chinese skullcap, 12g Salvia miltiorrhiza, 10g Chinese hawthorn, decocted and taken orally, once daily. (Cancer-Fighting Chinese Herb Dictionary)

 

  2. Breast Cancer

 

  12g maple root, 12g bee glue, 30g mushroom, 30g Prunella vulgaris, 30g Augustus tea, 30g soap pod thorn, 15g astragalus, 15g Salvia miltiorrhiza, 15g Paeonia lactiflora, decocted and taken orally, once daily, divided into two doses. At the same time, use equal amounts of realgar and ginger. Place the realgar in the ginger, place it on a tile, and gently heat it until it turns golden yellow.
