[Effects of Gan Xing Zao] According to the Compendium of Materia Medica: treats vomiting and regurgitation, warms the spleen and stomach, aids digestion, nourishes Qi and relieves stagnation.
[Prescription] Treats incessant vomiting, relieves chest oppression, nourishes the spleen and stomach, promotes appetite: six liang of Gan Xing Zao, four liang of fresh ginger.
Grind the two ingredients together to make a cake, then bake or sun-dry it. Add one or two liang of roasted licorice (powdered), a pinch of salt, and take it with soup.
