Spinach seeds are the seeds of the green vegetable spinach. They have the effects of clearing the liver and improving eyesight, stopping coughing, and relieving asthma. They are especially effective in treating lung diseases. Now let's learn about the benefits and effects of spinach seeds.

Prohibited Groups for Spinach Seeds

1. Not suitable for children

Although there are no significant side effects of consuming spinach seeds, it is best for children not to consume them. Spinach seeds have a cool property, and children usually have poor digestion. Consuming spinach seeds can cause indigestion and stomach discomfort. Therefore, spinach seeds should be avoided for children.

2. People with poor gastrointestinal health should use with caution

Spinach seeds can stimulate gastrointestinal movement, accelerate metabolism, and effectively prevent constipation and aid in weight loss for ordinary individuals. However, for those with weak digestion or suffering from chronic gastritis, consuming spinach seeds can cause significant side effects. It may lead to diarrhea and abdominal pain. Therefore, people with poor gastrointestinal health should avoid consuming spinach seeds.

Methods of Consuming Spinach

1. Stir-fried Spinach

Remove the roots and old leaves of spinach, rinse them with water, and soak them in clean water for a while. Use your hands to simulate the motion of a washing machine, swirling and stirring to wash away the dirt and sand. Large spinach leaves can be cut into sections.

Heat water in a pot and blanch the spinach briefly (no more than 10 seconds). Immediately remove it and rinse it with cold water. Drain the water. Heat oil in a pan, add the spinach and stir-fry. Add salt and stir-fry until the water is cooked off. Finally, add a little MSG before removing from the pan and serving.

2. Spinach and Egg Soup

Clean the spinach, split them open, soak them in a bowl, and wash them carefully. Cut them into sections. Heat water in a pot, and when the water boils, add the spinach. Beat the eggs and slowly pour them into the pot while stirring with chopsticks to slowly solidify the eggs.

If you want the eggs to be scattered, stir quickly. Turn off the heat, add a few drops of sesame oil for fragrance, and add salt and chicken powder for seasoning. The soup is now ready to be served.
