 Zi You Mu Ye

  Source: Zi You Mu Ye is the tender leaves of the plant Fragrant Sumac in the Anacardiaceae family.

  Habitat and Distribution:

  Ecological Environment: It grows in limestone mountain forests or shrubs at an altitude of 580-2700m.

  Distribution: It is distributed in southwestern China, Guangxi, Tibet, and other regions.

 Cultivation Techniques for Zi You Mu Ye

  Zi You Mu Ye prefers a warm and humid climate and is suitable for cultivation in sunny and well-drained areas.

  Due to its deep taproot, it is suitable for planting in sandy loam with deep soil and rich humus content.


  Propagation is done by seeds. Harvest mature and full fruits, dry them, and store in sand.

  Sow the seeds in March of the following year, open furrows, with a row spacing of 30cm and a seed spacing of 5cm. After covering with soil, water the seeds to keep the soil moist.

  Transplant when the seedlings reach a height of 35-40cm. Plant at a spacing of 300cm x 300cm.

  Functions and Indications: Clears heat, eliminates dampness, and relieves stagnation. Used for dysentery, diarrhea, food stagnation, eczema, and rubella.

  Dosage: Internal use: Decoction, 9-15g. External use: Appropriate amount, decoction for washing.
