Traditional Chinese Medicine Teas for Diarrhea Relief: A Natural Approach to Digestive Health

Diarrhea is not unfamiliar to us. It is commonly known as "loose stools". When diarrhea is severe, symptoms such as body weakness and fatigue may occur. We usually only pay attention to the treatment of diarrhea when it becomes severe. However, drinking tea to treat diarrhea is a good method. Tea 1: Three Flower Green Tea

Ingredients: 6g rose flowers, 4g jasmine flowers, 9g honeysuckle flowers, 6g tangerine peel, 3g licorice, 12g green tea.

Preparation: Brew all the above ingredients with boiling water and cover for about 5 minutes.

Usage: Drink 3-5 times a day.

Effects: This tea has auxiliary effects of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, astringent, intestinal solidification, qi regulation, pain relief, digestion promotion, heat clearing, and detoxification. Tea 2: Perilla Leaf Red Tea with Eggs

Ingredients: 15g red tea, 15g perilla leaves, 2 eggs, appropriate amount of sesame paste.

Preparation: Clean the eggs, put them into a pot with enough water, boil and remove them, crack the shells, and put them into the water with red tea and perilla leaves. Continue boiling for 10 minutes, remove the eggs, and remove the shells.

Usage: Dip the eggs in sesame paste and consume.

Effects: This tea has auxiliary effects of dispersing exterior cold, warming the middle, and stopping diarrhea.


Tea 3: Ginseng and Astragalus Tea

Ingredients: 5g Codonopsis pilosula, 5g astragalus, 3g white atractylodes, 3g Chinese yam, 3g amur cork tree bark, 5g flower tea.

Preparation: 1. Put the first five ingredients in a pot and decoct to obtain 40ml of liquid. 2. Put the flower tea in a cup, pour in the liquid, cover and steep for 3 minutes. Drink until the taste becomes light.

Usage: Take 1-2 doses daily.

Effects: This tea helps invigorate the spleen, replenish qi, warm yang, and relieve persistent diarrhea caused by spleen and stomach qi deficiency.


Tea 4: Digestive Plum Tea

Ingredients: 3g black tea, 12g dried plums, 9g hawthorn, 9g barley malt, 9g malted wheat, 9g white atractylodes.

Preparation: Put the above ingredients into a pot with water, place it on the fire, boil for 10 minutes, remove the residue, and drink the juice instead of tea.

Usage: Take 1 dose daily, continuously for 3-4 days.

Effects: This tea has auxiliary effects of promoting digestion, appetizing, and astringent intestines to stop diarrhea. It has a certain relieving effect on indigestion, acute enteritis, and diarrhea.


Tea 5: Diarrhea Relief and Pain Alleviation Tea

Ingredients: 6g oolong tea, 3g dried ginger, 400ml hot water.

Preparation: 1. Cut the dried ginger into small pieces. 2. Put the oolong tea in a pot, rinse with boiling water to remove impurities. 3. Put the dried ginger pieces into the tea pot, add hot water, and let it steep for about 2 minutes before drinking.

Effects: This tea can assist in treating stomach pain and diarrhea, and has a certain effect.

All of the above teas have the effect of treating diarrhea and promoting digestion. They can nourish the intestines and stomach and have a good relieving effect on diarrhea caused by qi deficiency.
