1. According to "Dian Nan Ben Cao": "Used for relieving coldness in the face, back, and abdomen, long-term colon bleeding, and red and white dysentery after seven days."

2. According to "Yunnan Chinese Herbal Medicine": "Promotes digestion, stops diarrhea and bleeding. It is used for treating dysentery, diarrhea, internal bleeding, excessive menstrual bleeding, and stomach pain."

3. According to "Selected Yunnan Chinese Herbal Medicine": "Constricts and stops bleeding, promotes blood circulation, relieves pain, promotes digestion, and stops diarrhea. It is used for treating colitis, dysentery, chronic gastritis, diarrhea, indigestion, irregular menstruation, postpartum bleeding, nosebleeds, and injuries from falls or blows."

【Dosage】Oral administration: decoction, 9-15 grams; soaked in alcohol or made into pills or powder.

1. For treating coldness in the face, back, and abdomen: grind one gram of Red Root Sage into powder and take it with hot liquor. (From "Dian Nan Ben Cao")

2. For treating intestinal heat accumulation, colon bleeding, or bloody dysentery: grind one liang of Red Root Sage, three qian of sophora fruit (fried or flower can also be used), five qian of bitter orange peel, three qian of scutellaria baicalensis, two qian of platycodon root, and five qian of coptis chinensis (fried in liquor) into fine powder and roll it into pills the size of rice grains.
