Qi-Boosting Porridge: A Natural Beauty and Health Tonic

【Ingredients】
5 grams of white ginseng, 50 grams of Chinese yam, 10 jujubes, 50 grams of lean pork, 80 grams of corn.


【Preparation】
Cut the lean pork into small pieces, dice the white ginseng, cut the Chinese yam into chunks, and put them in a sand pot with the jujubes and corn. Add an appropriate amount of water and cook into a porridge according to the usual method.




【Efficacy】
Tonifies qi and nourishes blood, nourishes the skin and enhances beauty. Used for beauty and health care, diabetes, and adjunctive treatment of anemia.




【Precautions】
(1) White ginseng should not be eaten with radishes as it neutralizes the medicinal effects.
(2) White ginseng should not be eaten with turtle meat as it can produce adverse reactions.
(3) White ginseng should not be eaten with Chenopodium album or Elaeagnus multiflora as they have compatibility taboos.
(4) The corn should not be washed too many times, and should not be vigorously rubbed to avoid loss of nutrients in the outer layer. When cooking, avoid adding alkaline substances to prevent the destruction of vitamin C and vitamin B in the rice.
(5) People with damp-heat syndrome should not eat Chinese yam excessively.
(6) Jujubes should not be eaten with onions, cucumbers, radishes, vitamin C, or liver.
(7) Jujubes should not be taken with paracetamol, ibuprofen, and other drugs at the same time, as it can form insoluble complexes.
(8) Take one dose every 2 days. 10 doses make up one course of treatment.
