Distinguishing Yaisong and Yaibo: A Closer Look at Taste, Texture, and Material

March 25, 2024

Yaisong and Yaibo both grow on cliffs. After millions of years of wind and rain, their outer skin and appearance are very similar, making it difficult to distinguish between them. Below, we will list the differences between Yaisong and Yaibo.

I. Taste

Yaibo generally has a varying degree of milky and sweet fragrance. The milky fragrance is a soft and rich oily aroma. Some Yaibo has a sweet taste, and the sweetness of different Yaibo varies.

The sweet and elegant ones create a sense of tranquility while being sweet, refreshing and pleasant to the senses. The ones with a heavier sweetness have a stronger honey-like sensation, with a stable and rich fragrance, sweet and mellow.

Yaisong, on the other hand, actually has the scent of pine trees. This makes it easy to distinguish between Yaibo and Yaisong.

II. Texture

When appreciating Yaibo, we not only taste its flavor but also appreciate its artistic texture. The three-dimensional texture is vividly displayed, flowing naturally like flowing clouds and water. When touched with hands, it feels smooth and smooth, without any roughness, only the miraculous craftsmanship of nature creates this magical Yaibo!

Yaibo has textures such as tumor flowers, bird's eye, flame patterns, water wave patterns, bodhisattva cloud patterns, tiger skin patterns, and so on. Each texture has its own characteristics and is very beautiful.

Yaisong, on the other hand, does not have such a rich texture like Yaibo. It is impossible for Yaisong to have a bodhi cloud pattern, and its texture is not as fine as Yaibo's.

III. Material

Comparing the material of Yaibo and Yaisong, Yaibo's material is relatively delicate, while Yaisong's material is not as good as Yaibo's, and even somewhat rough.

In fact, it is relatively easy to distinguish between Yaibo and Yaisong. Friends who are familiar with Yaibo can easily distinguish between them through the texture.

Both Yaibo and Yaisong take millions of years to grow and mature, making them very rare. This shows that they are both very valuable for collection, especially Yaisong, which can also be used as Chinese medicine.
