Common side effects observed from taking Bai Ji Li include nausea and vomiting. However, these are temporary symptoms that can be controlled through diet.

For some women, changes in voice can be observed. This may be related to changes in hormone levels in the body. Another side effect associated with Bai Ji Li is emotional instability. Some users may also experience excessive hair growth on the body and face.

Excessive testosterone is the main cause of these side effects.

In addition, if we frequently overdose on Bai Ji Li in our daily lives, it can sometimes lead to lung damage, which poses a great harm to our lungs. Therefore, individuals with poor lung health are advised not to take Bai Ji Li.

Bai Ji Li is composed of five small fruits aggregated into a pentagonal shape, with a diameter of 0.6-1cm.

Some split into single fruit lobes, which are dance-shaped, with a green-white or gray-white surface. The back is covered with many reticulations and small thorns, as well as symmetrical long and short thorns.

It is hard in texture and prickly to the touch, with a cut surface showing white or yellow-white oily kernels. It has no odor and tastes bitter and spicy.

Uniform and full grains with a gray-white color are preferred.
