Braised Pork Ribs with Phoenix Eye Fruit

Ingredients: Phoenix Eye Fruit, pork ribs, ginger, garlic, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, rock sugar

Instructions:

1. Blanch the Phoenix Eye Fruit in boiling water, remove the black hard shell and the outer membrane. Marinate the pork ribs with salt, oil, cornstarch, and minced ginger for a while. Blanch the pork ribs quickly to remove any blood residue.

2. Heat a wok with some oil and stir-fry the ginger and garlic. Add the pork ribs and stir-fry. Then add the Phoenix Eye Fruit and continue stir-frying until the pork ribs are slightly browned. Add enough warm water to cover the ingredients. The amount of water should not be too little. Braising for a longer time will enhance the flavor.

3. Season with a little dark soy sauce, soy sauce, and rock sugar. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for about 20-25 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Add a little salt and oyster sauce.
