[Can Wild Pueraria Root be Eaten Directly?]
Wild Pueraria root cannot be eaten directly and needs to be processed before use.
Pueraria root is a perennial herb, 30-120 cm tall. It has fibrous roots and a short rhizome. The stem is clustered and three-sided; the leaves degenerate into two leaf sheaths, membranous, brown, and obliquely truncated at the top.
The spikelets are ovate-elliptic, 8-15 mm long, 4-6 mm wide, 3-20 in number, forming a lateral, solitary, head-like inflorescence; the bracts are three-sided, an extension of the stem, 2-10 cm long; the scales are ovate, pale brown, about 4 mm long, with a short tip at the apex, ridged, in imbricate arrangement, with the lower 1-2 empty, the others with one bisexual flower, the topmost one withered, and 6 downward-pointing hairs and thorns; stamens 3; stigma 3-lobed.
The small nutlets are inverted ovate or flattened three-sided, black and shiny when mature. The panicle stage is in July-August.

2. For the treatment of damp-heat vaginal discharge: 30g of Pueraria root, 30g of Sanbaicao. Decoction and take orally.
3. For the treatment of toothache due to stomach fire: 15g of Pueraria root, 15g of bitter buckwheat head, 15g of Digu Pi, 15g of Artemisia argyi. Decoction and take orally.
