  Snow Mountain Aconite, also known as Snow Mountain One Root, is a traditional Chinese medicine. It is the rhizome of the Ranunculaceae plant Aconitum gymnandrum. It has the effects of dispelling wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation, and relieving pain. It is commonly used for joint and bone pain caused by wind-cold-dampness, pain and blood stasis caused by injuries, as well as insect and snake bites.

  【Functions and Indications】

  Snow Mountain Aconite has the effects of anti-inflammatory, analgesic, dispelling wind and dampness. It is mainly used for rheumatic bone pain, swelling and pain due to injuries, and toothache.

  1. Various pain conditions: Snow Mountain Aconite has a pungent and warm nature, which can dispel wind and dampness, promote blood circulation, and especially relieve pain. It is a good medicine for treating various types of pain.

  2. Sores, swelling, and poisonous insect and snake bites: Snow Mountain Aconite can counteract toxins with toxins, promote blood circulation, and relieve pain. It can be used externally by soaking in alcohol to treat sores, swelling, poisonous insect and snake bites, bee stings, etc.

  【Prescriptions and Applications】

  ① For injuries, rheumatic bone pain, and toothache: Take 0.25 grams of Snow Mountain Aconite (about the size of a rice grain) orally.

  ② For injuries, snake bites, and insect bites: Take five taels of Snow Mountain Aconite and soak it in one kilogram of alcohol for ten days. Apply externally (do not take internally).

  【Dosage and Administration】

  Oral administration: Take 0.75 grams orally; External use: Soak 15 grams of Snow Mountain Aconite in one kilogram of alcohol for ten days, then apply externally.

  【Precautions】

  1. Snow Mountain Aconite is highly toxic. It should be processed before oral administration and the dosage should be strictly controlled. It should not be taken orally without processing.

  2. Pregnant women, the elderly, children, and patients with heart disease or ulcer disease should not take it.

  3. Avoid eating raw and cold food, beans, beef, and mutton during the medication.

  4. Alcohol-based preparations should not be taken orally.

  5. The symptoms of poisoning mainly include strong stimulation of the vagus nerve, salivation, vomiting, abdominal pain, arrhythmia, hypotension, shock, difficulty breathing, seizures, and coma. It can lead to death due to circulatory and respiratory failure.
