It is mainly used for excessive heart fire, deficiency of qi and yin, damp-heat pouring downward, spermatorrhea and urine turbidity, excessive menstrual bleeding, and onset of symptoms with exertion; or deficiency of kidney yin, dry mouth and tongue, restlessness and fever.
[Usage and Dosage]
Take 9 grams, 10 grains of Ophiopogon japonicus, and 250 ml of water. Decoct until 80% of the liquid is evaporated, remove impurities, and let the liquid cool. Take it on an empty stomach before meals.
[Explanation of Formula]
In Clear Heart Lotus Seed Drink, Astragalus membranaceus, Astragalus membranaceus, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis replenish the deficient yang and clear the fire, and assist in qi transformation and reach all parts of the body. Scutellaria baicalensis: It has the effects of clearing heat and dampness, clearing fire and detoxification, stopping bleeding and stabilizing the fetus. It is mainly used for warm-febrile diseases, upper respiratory tract infections, lung heat cough, damp-heat jaundice, pneumonia, restless fetus, hypertension, abscesses and boils, etc.
Ophiopogon japonicus: It nourishes yin and moistens the lungs, strengthens the stomach and generates fluids, clears the heart and relieves restlessness. It is commonly used for lung dry cough, lung abscess, yin deficiency cough, thirst due to fluid damage, diabetes, restlessness and insomnia, sore throat, dry bowel movements, and hot blood vomiting.
