Postpartum Insufficient Lactation due to Liver Depression and Qi Stagnation
[Symptoms] Insufficient secretion of breast milk after childbirth, or even no secretion at all. Chest tightness and depression, accompanied by mild fever, poor appetite. Tongue is pale red with thin yellow coating, and pulse is stringy, thin, and rapid.
[Dietary Therapy]
1. Shanjia Tongru Tang (Mountain Stew for Promoting Lactation): 30g pangolin, 20g melon peel, 200g pig tendon, 10g Buddha's hand. Wash the ingredients and stew them in a clay pot or pressure cooker until cooked. Add a little salt and ginger juice when eating, drink the broth and eat the meat. Take once a day for 3-4 consecutive days.
2. Xiaoyao Zhuti Tang (Pig Trotter Soup for Relieving Depression): 6g Radix Bupleuri, 12g Chinese Angelica, 15g White Paeonia, 6g Szechuan Lovage Rhizome, 10g Tangerine Peel, 10g Pangolin, 2 pig trotters. Wrap the first 6 Chinese herbs in clean gauze and cook them together with the pig trotters in a clay pot until the trotters are tender. Drink the broth and eat the meat. Take once a day for 3-4 consecutive days.
3. Orange Wine Juice: 1 sweet orange, 10g fresh Buddha's hand, 1 tablespoon rice wine. Peel and remove the core of the sweet orange, squeeze the juice with clean gauze, add Buddha's hand (sliced), rice wine and a suitable amount of warm water, soak and drink twice a day.

[Symptoms] Insufficient or no breast milk secretion after childbirth, thin and clear milk, soft breasts, pale complexion, fatigue, poor appetite. Tongue is pale with little coating, and pulse is weak and thin.
[Dietary Therapy]
1. Zhuti Tongru Tang (Pig Trotter Soup for Promoting Lactation): 2 pig trotters (hair removed and cleaned), 5g Rehmannia root, water. Stew on low heat until tender, season with ginger, spring onion, and salt. Eat the meat and drink the broth several times a day for several days.
2. Chuan Shanjia Duan Zhuti Tang (Pangolin and Pig Trotter Soup): 30g processed pangolin, 15g Eupolyphaga sinensis, 20g Astragalus root, 2 pig trotters, water. Stew on low heat until the trotters are tender. Season with ginger, spring onion, and a little salt before eating. Eat the meat and drink the broth.
3. Yangrou Zhujiao Tang (Mutton and Pig Trotter Soup): 200g mutton, 1 pig trotter, cook together to make soup. When fully cooked, add a small amount of salt and seasonings. Take twice a day for 4-5 consecutive days.
4. Huangqi Zhugan Tang (Astragalus and Pig Liver Soup): 60g Astragalus root, 300g pig liver, cook together to make soup. Eat the broth and liver together.
5. Huasheng Huangdou Zhuti Tang (Peanut, Soybean, and Pig Trotter Soup): 60g peanuts, 50g soybeans, 2 pig trotters. Boil the pig trotters for 30 minutes, remove any impurities, then add peanuts and soybeans and cook until the trotters are tender. Serve as a side dish and take twice a day.
