Although Fuzi Jian of Wutou is not commonly seen, it is a type of Chinese medicinal material with many uses. Its functions include expelling wind and phlegm, and dispelling cold and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat epilepsy, phlegm stagnation, infantile convulsions, abdominal pain caused by cold, and hernia pain.

【Prescriptions】
① To treat epilepsy caused by wind and phlegm: Take Wutou Fuzi Jian, grind it into powder, and drink with tea, half a qian. (From "Gangmu")
② To treat stroke with sudden wind, dizziness, paralysis, phlegm and saliva blockage, confusion of mind, urgent closure of teeth, upward gaze of eyes, and five types of epilepsy: Take 10 liang of Shilv (ground into powder), 70 pieces each of Fuzi Jian, Wutou Jian, and Xiaoshao. Grind the three ingredients into powder and mix evenly with Shilv, then make into pills the size of a chicken's head. Take with half a cup of mint juice to help swallow the pill, then drink half a cup of warm wine. After a short while, vomit out phlegm and saliva, then continue treatment according to the symptoms. If there is urgent closure of teeth, use a spoon to open the mouth and pour the medicine. (From "Jufang" Bixiadan)
③ To treat infantile convulsions with slow spleen and wind, and limb reversal: Take one Fuzi Jian, one large sulfur, and seven pieces of Xiaoshao. Grind into powder, mix with ginger juice and flour, and make into pills the size of a yellow rice grain. Take ten pills each time, swallow with rice water. Can also be used to treat chronic diarrhea and emaciation. (From "Xiao'er Weisheng Zong Weilunfang")
④ To treat abdominal pain caused by navel wind: Take three pieces of fresh Chuan Wu Jian, half a piece of whole Wugong (soaked in wine and roasted), and a small amount of musk. Grind into powder, use a small amount to blow the nose and cause sneezing, then use peppermint soup to pour into the mouth in the shape of a Chinese character. (From "Yonglei Qianfang")
⑤ To treat severe pain and hernia or swelling of the scrotum: Take seven pieces of Chuan Wu Jian (used fresh), and seven pieces of Badou (remove the skin, leaving only 90% of the oil). Grind into powder, make into pills the size of a wutong seed, and use cinnabar and musk as coating. Take two pills each time, together with thirty pills of Qingmuxiang Wan, swallow with cold saline water on an empty stomach. Take every three to five days, do not take too much. ⑥ To treat swollen tongue caused by wood: Take Chuan Wu Jian and Badou, grind into fine powder, mix with vinegar, and apply with a brush. (From "Binhu Jijian Fang")
⑦ To treat unbearable toothache: Take Fuzi Jian, Tianxiong Jian, and whole Wugo, each seven pieces. Grind them into powder and apply. (From "Yonglei Qianfang")
⑧ To treat chronic wounds caused by nail cutting: Take Chuan Wu Jian and Huangbo in equal amounts. Grind into powder, wash and apply as a dressing. (From "Yangsheng Biyong Fang")
