【Morphological Characteristics of Shiya Grass】

Plant cultivation: It is mostly wild and can be found on slopes, roadsides, and wasteland. It is adaptable to various environments, but prefers warm and moist conditions. It grows well in fertile clay and sandy loam soil with high organic matter content, resulting in high yields. Excessive soil moisture can cause root rot. It is not suitable for cultivation in low-lying and waterlogged areas.

Harvesting and storage: It is harvested before flowering in summer and autumn, and impurities are removed before drying.

Processing methods:

Shiya grass: Remove impurities, wash, slightly moisten, cut into sections, and dry.

Wine-steamed Shiya grass: Take clean sections of Shiya grass and steam them thoroughly using the wine-steaming method. For every 100kg of Shiya grass, use 20kg of yellow wine.
