【Medicinal Applications of Xueshan Yizhihao】

1. Pain conditions

Xueshan Yizhihao has a pungent and dispersing nature, and it is particularly effective in relieving pain. It is commonly used for rheumatic pain, neuralgia, toothache, bruises, postoperative pain, and cancer pain, among others. It can be taken orally in powdered form, applied externally by soaking in alcohol, or prepared as an injection.

2. Insect and snake bites

Xueshan Yizhihao can counteract toxins with its own toxic properties, promote blood circulation, and relieve pain. It can be applied externally by soaking in alcohol to treat ulcers, swelling, venomous insect or snake bites, bee stings, etc.

【Processing Methods of Xueshan Yizhihao】

1. Soak Xueshan Yizhihao in cold water, changing the water 2-3 times a day, until there is no numb or spicy sensation when tasted. Remove it from the water and cook it with licorice and black beans until the center is no longer white. Then, remove and dry it.

2. Soak it in water for 7 days, changing the water twice a day, until the center becomes soft and translucent. Slice it and steam it in a steamer for 2-3 hours. Remove and dry it.

Then, stir-fry it thoroughly with hot lard, or wrap it in wet paper and bake it near charcoal fire until cooked. Remove the paper, soak it in a child's urine for a day and night, then remove, rinse, and dry it.

【Symptoms of Xueshan Yizhihao Poisoning】

Xueshan Yizhihao is highly toxic, and the toxic reactions appear within 0.5 to 3 hours after administration. The main symptoms include: mild drowsiness, burning sensation in the mouth, increased secretion;

moderate numbness throughout the body, weakness, coldness, bloating, discomfort in the throat, nausea, vomiting, salivation, dizziness, palpitations, restlessness, abdominal pain, and urge to defecate;

severe cases may result in fainting, cold limbs, irregular heart rhythm, decreased blood pressure, difficulty breathing, seizures, and coma. Electrocardiograms may show frequent premature contractions. In severe cases, circulatory and respiratory failure may lead to death.
