 [Methods of treating hemorrhage with Lungxincao]

  Dry Baice'er 7-8 qian, Xianhecao, Banbianlian, Tianqingdi Baicao, Maocao root, each 4-5 qian, decoct with water, take on an empty stomach in the morning and evening; avoid eating raw, cold, greasy, spicy, and mustard. (From "Zhejiang Tianmu Mountain Herbal Medicine")

  Lungxincao clears heat and moistens the lungs, reduces swelling and relieves pain. It is used to treat pulmonary tuberculosis, parotitis, lymphadenitis, pharyngitis, leucorrhea, hot and toxic sores, and bruises.

  Usage and dosage of Lungxincao:

  Orally: Decoct in water, 6-9g or 1-3 qian. Topically, use an appropriate amount and decoct with water for steam washing.

  Can be harvested throughout the year, washed, dried, and used fresh or dried in the shade.

  Prescription:

  Treatment of heart disease: One qian of Lungxincao, one liang of jujube, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar, decoct and take orally.   Treatment of mental illness and neurasthenia: Two to three qian of Lungxincao, one qian of Chenshacao, a little wine, decoct and take orally.
