Tremors in the Elderly: Traditional Chinese Medicine Dietary Remedies

We all know that traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes "seeing," "smelling," "asking," and "feeling" to diagnose diseases. When our bodies have problems, it usually indicates the occurrence of illnesses. When we experience hand tremors, it can be a dangerous signal. If the elderly do not pay attention, it may lead to significant diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine recommends some dietary remedies for hand tremors in the elderly:
 


 

  1. Glutinous Rice Red Date and Chinese Yam Soup:

  [Ingredients] 10g of glutinous rice, 20 red dates, 50g of Chinese yam. Wash the glutinous rice, red dates, and Chinese yam (sliced).

  [Method] Wash them together in a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and cook over low heat until the soup thickens.

  [Efficacy] Glutinous rice and red dates have the effects of nourishing Qi, strengthening the spleen, and nourishing the kidneys. Chinese yam can strengthen the spleen and stomach, nourish the lungs, and benefit the kidneys.

  [Treatment] The combination of the above ingredients has a good effect on preventing and treating tremors caused by degeneration of the central nervous system.

  2. Ginseng and Angelica Sinensis Stewed Pig Heart:

  [Ingredients] 3g of ginseng, 9g of angelica sinensis, 1 pig heart.

  [Method] Cut open and wash the pig heart, stuff ginseng and angelica sinensis into the pig heart, put it in a pot with an appropriate amount of water, and cook over low heat until the pig heart is cooked and tender. Remove the angelica sinensis, eat the pig heart, and chew the ginseng while drinking the soup.

  [Efficacy] Ginseng can improve the activity of the central nervous system and enhance the flexibility of the brain. Angelica sinensis has the effect of nourishing and activating blood circulation.   3. Polygonum Multiflorum and Angelica Sinensis Stewed Chicken Soup:

  [Ingredients] 15g of Polygonum Multiflorum, 15g of Angelica Sinensis, 10g of wolfberry, 10g of Shan Zhu Yu, 1 hen.

  [Method] Slaughter the hen and remove the feathers and internal organs. Wash the above four traditional Chinese medicines, put them into the hen's belly, put it in a sand pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and stew over low heat until the chicken is tender. Add salt to taste, eat the chicken meat, and drink the soup.

  [Efficacy] This medicinal diet has the effects of nourishing the kidneys, promoting intelligence, and stopping tremors.

  4. Lily and Longan Boiled Eggs:

  [Ingredients] 50g of fresh lily, 10g of longan, 2 eggs, appropriate amount of white sugar.

  [Method] Wash the lilies, cook the eggs and remove the shells. Put the lilies, cooked eggs, and longan into a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, and cook over low heat until the lilies are cooked and tender. After removing from the heat, add an appropriate amount of white sugar.

  [Efficacy] Longan can nourish the heart and spleen, nourish the blood, and calm the mind. Lily can moisturize the lungs, clear the mind, and prevent nerve fatigue. Eggs are rich in protein and lecithin, which has the effect of nourishing the brain.
