Cultivation: It is mostly wild, growing on slopes, roadsides, and wastelands. It thrives in warm and humid environments and grows well in fertile clay and sandy loam rich in humus, resulting in high yields. Excessive soil moisture can cause root rot, so it is not suitable for cultivation in low-lying and waterlogged areas.
Harvest and storage: It is harvested before flowering and during the flowering period in summer and autumn. Remove impurities and dry in the sun.

Xi She Cao: Remove impurities, wash thoroughly, slightly moisten, cut into sections, and dry.

Jiu Xi She Cao: Take clean sections of Xi She Cao and steam them thoroughly using the wine-steaming method. For every 100kg of Xi She Cao, use 20kg of yellow wine.
Edible Xi She Cao: Xi She Cao is suitable for people with conditions such as rheumatism, weak tendons and bones, weak lower back and knees, stroke, facial and eye deviation, hemiplegia, wind rash, damp sores, bites from insects and animals, malaria, jaundice, etc., especially for patients with damp-heat type rheumatism.
