  【Precautions for Using Sea Hibiscus】

  1. When using sea hibiscus spores for medicinal purposes, as the spores are very fine, they need to be decocted in a wrapped form.

  2. As sea hibiscus has a cold nature, it should be used with caution in individuals with kidney yin deficiency to avoid adverse effects on the kidneys.

  3. The dosage of sea hibiscus should be reasonably controlled. Generally, 6-15 grams of dried whole herb is recommended for a single use, and long-term continuous use should be avoided.

  【Efficacy and Functions of Sea Hibiscus】

  Sea hibiscus has many clinical applications. It is used for hot lin syndrome with short red urine, painful and difficult urination, and blood in the urine. It is usually used in combination with talc and licorice for better results.

  【Compound Formulas of Sea Hibiscus】

  ① Treatment of acute painful urination: Grind dried sea hibiscus into powder, decoct with raw licorice, and take two qian (6 grams) orally; or add talc. (From "Yi Jian Zhi")

  ② Treatment of bloody urine: Cook left-hand vine and small betel nut in water and take orally. (From "Sichuan Materia Medica")

  ③ Treatment of women's leucorrhea: Take one liang (30 grams) of sea hibiscus stems, four liang (120 grams) of pig testicles. Stew together with water, remove residue, and take the meat and soup orally. (From "Jiangxi Folk Medicinal Recipes")
