Usage and Dosage of Hemoengen

Internal use: Decoction, 1-2 taels of fresh Hemoengen.

Prescriptions for Treating Diseases with Hemoengen

① For treating bloody urine: Take 1-2 taels of fresh Hemoengen root or stem and 1-2 taels of fresh Plantago asiatica. Decoction and consume. (Fujian Herbal Medicine)

② For treating cholecystitis: Take 8-10 qian to 1 tael of fresh Hemoengen root or stem. Decoction and consume. (Fujian Herbal Medicine)

③ For treating malnourishment in children: Take 5 qian to 2 taels of fresh Hemoengen root. Decoction and consume one dose per mouthful. (Jiangxi Herbal Medicine)

④ For treating blurred vision: Take 4 taels of cleaned Hemoengen root. Stew with pig trotters and consume. (Sichuan Herbal Medicine)

⑤ For treating toothache caused by wind and fire: Take 7 qian of Hemoengen root. Stew with a duck egg and consume. (Jiangxi Folk Herbal Medicine)

⑥ For treating children's head sores: Take 5-7 qian of fresh Hemoengen root, insert it into a chicken egg and a duck egg. When the eggs are cooked, consume them along with the broth.
