Chinese herbal medicine Wuzhao Feng mainly distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou and other regions of China. Wuzhao Feng has the effects of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, strengthening the spleen and resolving dampness, promoting qi circulation and relieving pain, and relaxing tendons and activating collaterals. Is Wuzhao Feng poisonous?


Wuzhao Feng is a climbing shrub. The stem is densely covered with downward thorns and brown long hairs. The leaves are alternate, slightly round in shape, 8-13 cm long, 6.5-13 cm wide, and deeply palmate with 5 lobes;

The lobes are broadly lanceolate, sharp at the apex, heart-shaped at the base, with irregular serrations on the edges, smooth and hairless on the upper surface, and densely hairy along the veins on the lower surface; the petiole is 6-10 cm long, densely covered with fine thorns and long hairs; the stipules are deeply lobed.

The flowers are clustered in the leaf axils, without stalks; the calyx is 5-lobed, with lanceolate lobes; hairy on the outside; the petals are 5, pale yellow; the stamens are multiple, separate; the pistils are numerous. The aggregate fruit is spherical and red. The flowering period is from May to June.

1. Chronic bronchitis

Wuzhao Feng (Ficus hirta) 60g, Pengqianshi (Rhododendron simsii) 24g, Gonggai (Buddleja officinalis) leaves 30g, Ganmomi (Houttuynia cordata) 12g, Baimian Feng (Achillea millefolium) 9g, Jiemomei (Celastrus orbiculatus) 15g, decocted in water, taken twice a day.

2. Anemia

Wuzhao Feng (Ficus hirta), Maloushuang (Eucommia ulmoides), Jiucengfeng (Ampelopsis japonica), Jieduanpang (Nymphaea tetragona), Zoumafeng (Strobilanthes cusia) 15g each, stewed with pig trotters and taken orally.

3. Cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and coronary heart disease

Wuzhao Feng (Ficus hirta), Jiucengfeng (Ampelopsis japonica), Jiulongzuan (Cissus quadrangularis), Baowanfeng (Blumea balsamifera), Sifangzuan (Erycibe obtusifolia) 10-15g each, decocted in water and taken orally. For coronary heart disease, add Congliang (Zingiber montanum) fruit.
