Natural Methods for Teeth Whitening: Using Everyday Ingredients for a Brighter Smile

February 12, 2024

There are methods to whiten teeth, but do not use whitening products sold online indiscriminately. It is safe and convenient to use ingredients from daily life to whiten teeth.

  1. Vinegar

Use household vinegar (either aged vinegar or white vinegar, but not vinegar essence) in your mouth for 1 to 3 minutes, then spit it out and brush your teeth. The effect is very good! However, your teeth may feel sour and numb (the sensation lasts for about 2 minutes). Do not do it continuously. It is recommended to do it every 2 months or so. Otherwise, it is not good for your teeth. This is an emergency method (for example, when you have a date and find that your teeth are very yellow).

  2. Orange Peel

Dry the orange peel and grind it into powder. Mix a little of it with toothpaste when brushing your teeth in the morning and evening. Since my teeth were yellow when I was young and I now have tobacco stains from smoking, my teeth have become noticeably whiter and the black spots caused by smoking have also become lighter. The orange peel must be dried and then crushed into powder using a mortar.

  3. Raw Peanuts

Chew raw peanuts and don't swallow them. Use the peanut crumbs as toothpaste to whiten your teeth.

  4. Cuttlefish Bone

Crush the cuttlefish bone and put it on the toothbrush as toothpaste. This has an immediate effect (cuttlefish bone is the bone of a cuttlefish or squid. It is a large white bone in its body. By scraping it with a fingernail, a lot of white powder can come out. Use this powder as toothpaste to whiten teeth).

  5. Baking Soda

Dip the toothbrush in baking soda (edible alkali) and brush your teeth normally once or twice a week for three minutes each time to keep your teeth bright and clean.

  6. Vinegar for Removing Tartar and Stains

People who smoke regularly may have a layer of black and yellow tartar on their teeth that is difficult to remove with toothpaste. However, brushing with vinegar can remove the tartar and make teeth clean and white. Rinse your mouth with half a mouthful of vinegar for 2-3 minutes, then brush your teeth vigorously and rinse with water repeatedly to remove the tartar.

  7. Strawberries

Crush a fresh strawberry and use it to brush your teeth, or cut the strawberry into slices and rub it on your teeth. After persisting for more than a week, there will be noticeable effects.

In daily life, eating healthy fruits can also achieve the effect of whitening teeth. We should also brush our teeth after every meal, preferably 30 minutes after eating. Many people have yellowing teeth, so they can brush their teeth several times a day, gently brushing to remove the impurities on their teeth. In terms of diet, try to avoid carbonated drinks, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption, as these can prevent teeth from turning yellow. This way, we can have a white and clean "second face".
