  Upper Jiao: 15g of Apricot Kernel, 6g of Bamboo Leaf and Huo Xiang (Stem and Leaf)

  

  Middle Jiao: 15g of Ban Xia, 6g of Hou Po and Bai Kou Ren

  

  Lower Jiao: 18g of Coix Seed and Fei Hua Shi, and 6g of Bai Tong Cao

  [Common Dosage] 20g of Fu Ling, Bai Shao or Chi Shao, 15g of Fresh Ginger or Dried Ginger, 15g of Bai Zhu, and 15g of Prepared Aconite

  

  [Decoction Method] Boil Fu Zi in 1500ml of water for 30 minutes, then add other herbs and boil for another 40 minutes. Collect 300ml of the decoction, divide into 2-3 doses and take warm.

  

  [Classic Indications]

  

  In Taiyang disease, after sweating, there is persistent fever, palpitations, dizziness, restlessness, and a desire to lie down.

  Abdominal pain, difficulty urinating, heavy and painful limbs, diarrhea, coughing, or vomiting.

  

  [Constitutional Requirements] Lethargy, aversion to cold with cold limbs, deep and thin pulse, swollen and slippery tongue with teeth marks. Or edema, diarrhea, difficulty urinating, palpitations and tremors, dizziness and fainting. Swollen and slippery tongue with teeth marks, weak and deep pulse. Most patients have severe illnesses and often have impaired function of important organs.

  

  [Applicable Diseases] Chronic congestive heart failure, chronic glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, chronic renal insufficiency, anemia, hypoproteinemia, adrenal cortex hormone side effects, hypothyroidism, Meniere's disease, cirrhotic ascites, gastric retention in gastroparesis, menopausal syndrome, pelvic fluid in chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, excessive vaginal discharge, joint effusion in rheumatoid arthritis, hydronephrosis, intestinal tuberculosis, tuberculous peritonitis, hypertension, hypotension, dizziness after carbon monoxide poisoning, insufficient blood supply to the vertebral basilar artery, sequelae of concussion, senile tremor, essential tremor, extrapyramidal symptoms caused by large doses of chlorpromazine, facial spasm, hand tremor caused by long-term use of corticosteroids, arthritis, sciatica, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, trigeminal neuralgia, etc.

  

  [Modifications] Thirst, difficulty urinating, edema, combine with Wu Ling San; spontaneous sweating, combined with diabetes, combine with Huang Qi Gui Zhi Wu Mu Tang; lower back pain, leg edema, combine with Ji Sheng Shen Qi Wan; hypothyroidism, abdominal distention, aversion to cold, add Ma Huang and Gan Cao.

  

  [Precautions] Use with caution in individuals with darkened skin, jaundice, or flushed face.
