 Five Claws Wind, also known as Five Claws Vine, is the whole herb of the Rosaceae plant Five-leaved Hanger. 【Methods of using Five Claws Wind】

1. Buddha's Hand Lean Meat Soup with Five Claws Wind

 Ingredients: 250g lean pork, 60g Five Claws Wind, 10g Buddha's Hand, salt, and water.

 Method: Cut the Five Claws Wind into small pieces; wash the Buddha's Hand; wash the lean pork and cut it into pieces. Put all the ingredients into a pot; add an appropriate amount of water. Bring to a boil over high heat and simmer over low heat for 1-2 hours. Add salt to taste.

2. Pig's Trotter Soup with Five Claws Wind

 Ingredients: 1 pig's trotter, 100g Five Claws Wind, 5 red dates.

 Method: Wash the Five Claws Wind and red dates (remove pits); remove the hair, hooves, and wash the pig's trotter, cut into pieces. Blanch the pig's trotter in boiling water for ten minutes, then remove and rinse with clean water. Put all the ingredients into a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat and simmer over low heat for 2-3 hours. Season to taste.

【Medicinal value of Five Claws Wind】

 Five Claws Wind and Houttuynia cordata for treating tetanus

 Composition: 30g Houttuynia cordata (also known as Shao Zi Cao), 20g Five Claws Wind (also known as She Han Cao), 20g Plantago asiatica, 10g centipede.

 Function and Indication: Detoxification, dispelling wind, and relieving spasm. Used for treating tetanus.

 Dosage and Administration: Take one dose daily, decoct and drink frequently.

 Treatment method: Treat with the decoction of this formula. Clean the local wound and apply San Huang Soft Ointment. After taking the medicine for three doses, the condition did not improve significantly and the convulsions persisted. Instruct the patient to take three more doses. The patient's consciousness became clear, the frequency of convulsions decreased, and the tongue and pulse were as before.

 Continue with the original formula and take three more doses. 1. Chronic bronchitis

 Five Claws Wind (Folium Ficus curvata) 60g, Daphne genkwa (Flos Genkwa) 24g, Baccaurea ramiflora (Folium Baccaurea ramiflora) 30g, Houttuynia cordata (Herba Houttuyniae) 12g, Ageratum conyzoides (Herba Agerati) 9g, Psidium guajava (Herba Psidii guajavae) 15g. Decoct and take twice a day.

2. Anemia

 Five Claws Wind (Folium Ficus curvata), Eucommia ulmoides (Cortex Eucommiae), Acalypha wilkesiana (Herba Acalyphae), Hedyotis corymbosa (Herba Hedyotidis), Veratrilla baillonii (Herba Veratrillae) each 15g. Stew with pig's trotter and take.

3. Cardiovascular diseases (such as coronary heart disease)

 Five Claws Wind (Folium Ficus curvata), Acalypha wilkesiana (Herba Acalyphae), Cissus rhombifolia (Herba Cissi), Mosla chinensis (Herba Moslae), Sinomenium acutum (Herba Sinomenii) each 10-15g. Decoct and take. For coronary heart disease, add Fructus Amomi villosum (Fructus Amomi) fruit.
