【Morphological Characteristics of Di Shao Gua】

1. Di Shao Gua: Upright subshrub. Underground stems grow horizontally. Stem branches from the base. Leaves are opposite or nearly opposite; leaf blades are linear, 3-5cm long, 2-5mm wide, with raised midrib on the lower surface. Umbel inflorescences are axillary; calyx is hairy on the outside; corolla is green or white; corolla lobes are cup-shaped, lanceolate, gradually closing, taller than the membranous plate of the ovary. Fruit is fusiform, tapering at the apex, swollen in the middle, 5-6cm long, and about 2cm in diameter. Seeds are flat, dark brown, up to 8mm long, with white silky hairs, up to 2cm long. Flowering period is from May to August, and fruiting period is from August to October.

2. Que Piao: Similar to the original species, but with weaker stems and fewer branches. The stem tip usually elongates and twines. Leaves are linear or lanceolate; flowers are smaller and more abundant. Flowering period is from March to August, and fruiting period is from May to October.
