Nourishing the Spleen and Liver: Spring Recipes for Health

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver should be nourished in spring. If liver qi is too strong, it can harm the spleen. In spring, it is important to eat more sweet foods and less sour foods to nourish the spleen. Examples of sweet foods include honey, crispy rice, yams, leeks, spinach, etc. Sour foods should be eaten in moderation.

It is recommended to consume some foods with a sweet and mild taste, such as yams, lotus seeds, and tremella. For liver qi regulation, you can use tangerine peel, chrysanthemum flowers, rose flowers, and licorice to make tea.

4. Chicken Stir-fried with Carrots

Method: Cut the chicken breast into pieces and wash them. Peel and wash the carrots, then slice them. Stir-fry the chicken breast until it changes color, then add the carrots and stir-fry together. Season with salt, chili, and other seasonings.

5. Milk and Egg Custard

Ingredients: 250g milk, 2 eggs, 20g white sugar

Method: Crack the eggs into a bowl, add white sugar, beat and strain. Add milk and stir well. Steam over water until cooked.
