Managing Weak Qi and Blood: Clinical Manifestations and Remedies

Clinical manifestations of weak qi and blood and amenorrhea:


Menstruation gradually decreases in quantity and color until it stops completely. The face appears pale or sallow, dizziness and blurred vision, palpitations and shortness of breath, fatigue, pale tongue, weak and feeble pulse.
 

 


 
 [Red Dates Papaya Pig Liver Soup]  

[Ingredients]: 20 red dates, 1 papaya, 50g pig liver.
[Method]: Remove the pits from the red dates, remove the skin and seeds from the papaya, and cut them into thin slices. Chop the pig liver. Put all three ingredients in a pot, add water and bring to a boil over high heat. Then simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, add salt to taste.
[Effect]: Tonifies qi and nourishes blood, regulates menstruation and promotes blood circulation.
[Usage]: Take 1 dose daily, divided into 2 servings, for 15 consecutive days.
 

 [Qi-Regulating Cuttlefish with Astragalus and Angelica]  

[Ingredients]: 30g shredded ginger, 10g angelica, 20g astragalus, 300g cuttlefish.
[Method]: Boil the angelica and astragalus in water, take 100ml of the decoction and set aside. Remove the bones from the cuttlefish and slice it. Heat the wok with oil, stir-fry the cuttlefish slices and shredded ginger, add a little salt, thicken the decoction with some starch, and serve on a plate.
[Effect]: Tonifies qi and nourishes blood, promotes blood circulation.
[Usage]: Serve as a side dish.
 

 [Angelica and Red Dates Congee]  

[Ingredients]: 15g angelica, 5 red dates, 50g glutinous rice.
[Method]: Soak the angelica in warm water for a while, add 200ml of water, simmer and take 100ml of concentrated juice, add glutinous rice and red dates, add 300ml of water, cook until the congee is ready, add brown sugar to taste.
[Effect]: Tonifies qi and nourishes blood, regulates menstruation.
[Usage]: Take warm congee on an empty stomach in the morning and evening, for 10 days as one treatment course.
