  Ingredients:

  

  1 whole chicken (about 1500g), 50g Dangshen, 50g Astragalus, 10g red dates, cooking wine, salt, monosodium glutamate, ginger slices.

  
          

 

  Instructions:

  

  1. Blanch the chicken in boiling water to remove blood, then wash it. Wash the red dates and remove the pits. Rinse the Dangshen and Astragalus with water and cut them into sections.

  

  2. Place the chicken in a large stewing pot, add enough water, put in Dangshen, Astragalus, red dates, cooking wine, salt, monosodium glutamate, and ginger slices. Steam in a steamer until the chicken is cooked and tender. Remove and serve.
