Chinese herbal medicine Wuzhao Feng is the whole plant of the Rosaceae family's Rubus alceaefolius. It is mainly distributed in Sichuan and Guizhou provinces in China. Let's learn about the medicinal uses and cultivation methods of Wuzhao Feng.

Medicinal Uses of Wuzhao Feng

1. Treatment of intestinal obstruction:

Take 4 liang of fresh Wuzhao Feng, mash it and squeeze the juice. Mix it with an equal amount of child's stool and heat it slightly. Drink it slowly.

During winter, use dried Wuzhao Feng. Take 2 liang each time and make a decoction. Mix it with an equal amount of child's stool and take it orally. It is equally effective. If there is severe vomiting after taking the medicine and the medicine is vomited out, the dosage should be replenished. Take small amounts of the medicine multiple times, and usually there will be no vomiting after the second dose. Several clinical trials have shown effectiveness within 24 hours.

2. Treatment of tetanus:

Take 30 grams of Yuzhuzi grass (also known as whistle grass), 20 grams each of Wuzhao Feng (also known as snake-containing grass) and Cheqiancao, and 10 grams of centipedes. Make a decoction and drink it frequently.

Cultivation Methods of Wuzhao Feng

1. Characteristics of growth:

Wuzhao Feng prefers a sunny, mild, and relatively humid environment. It has strong adaptability and can be cultivated in mountainous areas, hills, and plains. It does not have strict requirements for soil and is often found growing wild in wastelands, field edges, or roadsides. It grows best in sandy soil with good sun exposure, fertility, and moisture.

2. Cultivation techniques:

After planting, water should be applied in a timely manner. For autumn planting, remove weeds and apply fertilizer once in mid-December of the same year. After that, remove weeds at any time and shallowly cultivate and apply fertilizer once in May and September-October after two harvests. Manure or ammonium sulfate can be used as fertilizers. After 3-4 years of continuous harvesting, it is necessary to change the cultivation site.
