Liver Qi Invading Spleen: Signs, Symptoms, and Remedies

Signs and Symptoms of Liver Qi Invading Spleen Type Intestinal Dysmotility:

 

  Bloating and abdominal pain, pain improves after diarrhea, chest tightness and belching, bowel sounds, poor appetite and reduced food intake, occasional constipation, symptoms worsen due to emotional stress. Thin white tongue coating, wiry pulse. 

 

 

 


 

【Carp and Rice Porridge】

  Ingredients: 1 carp, 50g glutinous rice. 

Preparation: Cook the carp to make broth. Cook the glutinous rice into a thin porridge, then add the carp broth and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Season before eating. 

Benefits: Tonifies Qi and strengthens the Spleen. 

Usage: Eat for breakfast and dinner, can also consume the fish meat. 

 

 【Orange Peel and Chicken Gizzard Powder】

  Ingredients: 100g orange peel, 20g chicken gizzard. 

Preparation: Roast and grind the two ingredients together, store in a bottle. 

Benefits: Regulates Qi and relieves bloating. 

Usage: Take 5g twice daily, dissolve in warm water and drink. 

 

 【Plum Blossom and Mung Bean Porridge】

  Ingredients: 60g glutinous rice, 60g mung beans (white mung beans are preferred), 3-5g plum blossom. 

Preparation: Cook the glutinous rice and mung beans into a porridge with water, add the plum blossom and cook for a short while. 

Benefits: Soothes the liver, regulates Qi, strengthens the Spleen, improves appetite, and stops diarrhea. 

Usage: Take once daily on an empty stomach, warm and consume. 

 

 【Buddha's Hand Citron Egg】

  Ingredients: 15g Buddha's hand citron, 10g jasmine flowers, 2 eggs. 

Preparation: Boil the eggs in water, then crack the shells and cook together with Buddha's hand citron and jasmine flowers for 15 minutes. 

Benefits: Soothes the liver, regulates Qi, strengthens the Spleen, and solidifies the intestines. 

Usage: Eat the eggs once daily. 

 

 【Nine-Peel Chenpi Yellow Croaker】

  Ingredients: 1 yellow croaker (about 250g), 1 bag of nine-peel Chenpi, 4 scallions, 4 slices of ginger, salt, and MSG to taste. 

Preparation: Clean the yellow croaker, steam with nine-peel Chenpi, scallions, ginger, salt, MSG, and cooking wine. 

Benefits: Soothes the liver, regulates Qi, strengthens the Spleen, and stops diarrhea. 

Usage: Serve as a side dish.
