【Methods of Ze Xie for Weight Loss】

Animal experiments have found that Ze Xie can reduce the uterine and perivisceral fat index of obese rats. It can inhibit the intestinal cholesterol esterification ability in mice and reduce the cholesterol absorption rate in the intestines of rats.

Ze Xie has the function of clearing heat and diuresis. It is a commonly used Chinese medicine for weight loss and lowering blood lipids. It is suitable for obese patients with gastric heat and dampness obstruction. It can be used alone or in combination with other Chinese medicines.

Prescription for weight loss: 12 grams of Ze Xie and Ze Lan each, 10 grams of chrysanthemum, lotus leaf, cassia seed, and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus each, and 15 grams of mulberry, Psoralea corylifolia, and Polygonum multiflorum each.

【Variations of Ze Xie Usage】

Ze Xie has the effects of promoting urination and clearing damp-heat. It is used for urinary difficulty, edema, diarrhea with reduced urine, phlegm and fluid retention, dizziness, and hot and painful urination. It can be used in decoction with a dosage of 5-10 grams. It has the effects of lowering blood lipids, anti-atherosclerosis, and anti-fatty liver.

Due to the cholesterol-lowering, blood pressure-lowering, and blood lipid-lowering effects of Ze Xie itself, it can be used appropriately in the form of decoction for middle-aged and elderly people to clear damp-heat and promote urination, as well as control the increase of cholesterol in the body.

If used for invigorating the spleen, resolving phlegm, promoting diuresis, and lowering blood lipids, you can choose 30 grams of Ze Xie, 10 grams of Pinellia ternata, safflower, Chinese yam, white atractylodes, hawthorn, and wolfberry each, and 15 grams of coix seed, Polygonum multiflorum, and Plantago asiatica each. In addition, Ze Xie contains ze xie alcohol, which can cause decreased appetite and increased intestinal peristalsis. The irritating substances in it can cause gastritis after oral administration.
