1. Do not eat carrots and white radishes together

Although both carrots and white radishes have many benefits for the body, eating them together can reduce their nutritional value. White radishes contain a high amount of vitamin C, while carrots contain an enzyme that breaks down vitamin C. When the two meet, the vitamin C in white radishes is greatly reduced, resulting in a significant loss of nutritional value.

2. Do not eat radishes with Codonopsis pilosula and Astragalus membranaceus

Radishes have a "relieving" and "digestive" effect, so eating them with qi-tonifying drugs (such as ginseng and Codonopsis pilosula) can affect their efficacy.

3. Do not eat with acidic fruits

Radishes produce a substance called thiocyanate, which has an anti-thyroid effect. If you eat a large amount of oranges, apples, grapes, and other fruits at the same time, the flavonoids in the fruits will be converted into thiocyanate in the intestines by bacteria, which will inhibit the function of the thyroid and induce thyroid enlargement. Therefore, it is best not to eat fruits after eating radishes.

4. Not suitable for those with weak constitution to eat too much

Radishes have a cooling nature, so eating cold foods will definitely aggravate the condition for those with weak constitution.

5. Do not eat radishes with Chinese medicine

Do not eat radishes while taking Chinese medicine. In addition, when taking pills or Chinese patent medicine, it is also important to avoid eating radishes, as it can affect the efficacy of the medicine.
