Traditional Chinese Medicine Recipe: Dujiaogan and Lean Pork Soup for Infantile Malnutrition

The whole herb of the plant Dujiaogan, a member of the Xuan Shen family, is commonly used to treat infantile malnutrition due to its ability to strengthen the spleen, promote digestion, and clear heat and kill parasites.


 

【Ingredients】

15g of Dujiaogan, 100g of lean pork, 1-2 slices of ginger, a pinch of salt.

【Recommended Method】

Wash the Dujiaogan and soak it for 20 minutes. Wash the lean pork, do not cut it, and put it in a clay pot with the ginger. Add 750ml of water (about 3 bowls of water), bring it to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until there is 250ml of water left (about 1 bowl of water). Add a pinch of salt to taste.

【Dosage】

This amount is for one child. Adjust the amount according to the age of the child. It can also be taken in two separate doses. If used as an adjunct treatment, it can be taken every other day.
