Huang Jing and Goji Berry Porridge: Nourishing Spleen and Lungs

【Ingredients】

50g of fresh Huang Jing (20g of dried Huang Jing), 15g of Goji berries, 50g of rice, and appropriate amount of sugar.

【Instructions】

Wash the Huang Jing and extract the concentrated juice, removing any residue. Soak the Goji berries in warm water. Wash the rice and put it in a pot. Add the medicinal juice and enough boiling water. Boil over high heat, then simmer until the rice becomes porridge-like in consistency. Add the Goji berries and sugar before serving.

This recipe nourishes the spleen and moistens the lungs, as well as nourishing the liver and kidneys. (5) Goji berries have the effect of lowering blood sugar and reducing cholesterol. They should not be consumed in large quantities by children. Pregnant women should avoid consuming them.

(6) Take one dose daily. A course of treatment consists of 10 doses.
