Qianzheng San is a traditional Chinese medicine formula made from Bai Fuzi, Jiang Can, Quan Xie, and other herbs. It has the effects of dispelling wind, resolving phlegm, promoting blood circulation, and relieving spasms. It is commonly used to treat meridian disorders in the head and face. Composition of Qianzheng San

Composition: Bai Fuzi, Jiang Can, Quan Xie.

Function: Dispels wind, resolves phlegm, relieves spasms.

Indications: Stroke, facial paralysis, facial nerve paralysis, migraine, and other conditions caused by wind and phlegm obstructing the meridians in the head and face.

Dosage: Powdered form: 2-3g each time, taken orally 2-3 times a day. Decoction: Take it orally after decocting with water. The dosage should generally be less than 10g.

Pharmacological effects of Qianzheng San

Its main effects include sedation, hypnotic, antiepileptic, and antihypertensive effects.

1. Sedation and hypnotic effects: The aqueous extracts of Quan Xie and Jiang Can have sedative and hypnotic effects.

2. Antiepileptic effects: Both Jiang Can and Quan Xie have antiepileptic effects.

3. Antihypertensive effects: The infusion and decoction of Quan Xie have significant and long-lasting antihypertensive effects when administered intravenously, intramuscularly, or orally.
