Preparing for Pregnancy: Traditional Chinese Medicine Recipes and Foods for Spring Preconception

1. Black Bean and Lotus Seed Congee

Ingredients: 20g black rice, 20g black beans, 20g lotus seeds, 20g red beans, 40g brown rice, 30g oats, 5g white sugar.

Instructions:

1. Wash and soak the brown rice, black rice, black beans, red beans, and oats.

2. Wash and soak the lotus seeds, then remove the hearts of the lotus seeds.

3. Place a pot on the stove, add an appropriate amount of water, and bring to a boil. Add the above ingredients and cook over high heat.

4. Reduce the heat and cook until all the ingredients are cooked and the congee becomes thick. Add white sugar and mix well.

2. Bird's Nest and Rock Sugar Congee

Ingredients: 80g rice, bird's nest (according to preference), 3g rock sugar, goji berries (according to preference).

Instructions:

1. Wash the rice. Soak the bird's nest in warm water until it expands, remove any impurities, and rinse it clean. Wash the goji berries.

2. Add an appropriate amount of water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the rice, bird's nest, and goji berries. Boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat.

3. Cook until the congee thickens, then add rock sugar and cook until it completely dissolves.

Effects:

1. Bird's nest: Moisturizes the lungs, stops coughing, nourishes Yin, moisturizes dryness, nourishes the stomach, nourishes Yin, regulates the middle, stops sweating, and promotes beauty and skincare.

Foods to Eat During Spring Preconception

1. Coriander

Coriander contains estradiol, which can regulate female hormone levels and improve egg quality.

2. Apples

Apples contain a large amount of flavonoids, carbohydrates, as well as vitamins A, C, E, and antioxidants. They are considered warming fruits and promote metabolism.

3. Dairy Products
