Bai Ji Li and Ci Ji Li are two different names for the same type of Chinese medicine. They are also known as "Ci Ji Li" or "White Ci Ji Li."

The plant, also known as Bai Ji Li or Qu Ren, has a prostrate stem without hairs, covered in long soft hairs or long hard hairs. It is distributed throughout the country and can be found in sandy areas, wastelands, mountain slopes, and near residential areas.

When fresh, it can be used as fodder. The fruit is used in medicine to calm the liver, brighten the eyes, dispel wind, and promote blood circulation. The spines of the fruit easily stick to the hair of livestock, damaging the quality of their fur, making it a harmful plant in pastures.
