【Does Fall Frost Red Bonsai Prefer Shade?】

Fall Frost Red should be repotted once a year in spring. Replace the old soil with new potting soil (containing organic fertilizer and insecticide to eliminate underground pests).

When repotting, first use bamboo pieces to turn along the inner wall of the pot, then invert the pot, hold the plant and soil mass with your hand, and let it tilt out under the force of gravity.

Then use a sharp knife to remove the outer 3-4 centimeters of old soil and roots from the soil mass, and place it in a new pot filled with potting soil. Fill in new potting soil around it, compact it, and water it thoroughly.

Special attention should be paid to taking measures such as piling up soil for cold protection in colder areas during winter.

Fall Frost Red prefers moist and semi-shaded areas, so during the strong sunlight at noon, a shade net should be pulled open to avoid high temperatures caused by strong light, which may affect the growth of Fall Frost Red. After 4 pm, when the sunlight is weaker, the shade net should be closed. However, it is important to note that the shade net is like a cool shed, providing a comfortable environment for the plant.
