《Nourishing Recipes for Qi and Yin Deficiency in Pulmonary Tuberculosis》

Clinical manifestations of Qi and Yin deficiency type pulmonary tuberculosis:

Cough, hemoptysis, tidal fever, flushed cheeks, spontaneous sweating, night sweats, pale face and fatigue, shortness of breath and weak voice, fatigue and weakness, loss of appetite, red tongue with thin or peeled coating, thin and weak pulse.


【Soy Milk Porridge】

Ingredients: 1500ml soy milk, 100g glutinous rice.

Method: Cook soy milk and glutinous rice together to make porridge. Add appropriate amount of rock sugar to season after the porridge is cooked.

Efficacy: Nourish Qi and nourish Yin.

Usage: Serve as breakfast or dinner, or as a snack.

【Double Ginseng and Honey Ear Drink】

Ingredients: 10g American ginseng, 15g North ginseng, 10g white fungus.

Method: Soak the white fungus in water, and then put American ginseng and North ginseng into the same pot with the white fungus. Bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until the soup thickens. Add honey and mix well.

Efficacy: Tonify Qi, nourish Yin, and moisturize the lungs.

【Nourishing Yin Turtle Meat】

Ingredients: 250g turtle meat, 15g Ophiopogon japonicus, 15g Rehmannia glutinosa, 15g Astragalus membranaceus, 20g raw Rehmannia.

Method: Cut the turtle meat into pieces. Put Ophiopogon japonicus, Rehmannia glutinosa, Astragalus membranaceus, and raw Rehmannia into a gauze bag and seal it. Remove the medicine bag, add salt and monosodium glutamate to season, and boil for another minute or two.

Efficacy: Tonify Qi, nourish Yin, and resist tuberculosis.

Usage: Take once a day, eat with meals, for 7-10 days.

【White Nut and Ginseng Chicken Soup】

Ingredients: 200g old hen meat, 50g white nut kernels, 20g sea cucumber.

Method: Soak the sea cucumber in water, blanch the white nut kernels to remove the white membrane. Cut the old hen meat into pieces, put it in a pot with ginger and green onion, and stew until 60% cooked. Add sea cucumber and white nut kernels, simmer over low heat for another half an hour, add salt and monosodium glutamate, and it is ready to serve.

Efficacy: Tonify Qi, nourish Yin, and promote recovery.

Usage: Eat with meals.
