Chinese herb bellflower is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows on slopes, grasslands, and rock crevices. Nowadays, many are cultivated artificially, but it is best to use wild ones for making tea for better effects. The roots can be eaten or used in medicine.
1. Bellflower Lung-Clearing Tea
Ingredients: 3g bellflower, 3g licorice, 2g green tea
Method: Put bellflower and licorice into a cup, add green tea, and steep in hot water for 10 minutes.
Effects: Clears the lungs, dispels qi, and expels wind and heat. Suitable for cough with phlegm that is yellow in color, swollen and painful throat, etc.
2. Bellflower Licorice Tea
Ingredients: 100g bellflower, 100g licorice
Method: Grind bellflower and licorice into coarse powder, mix well and sift, divide into 10g portions.
Usage: Steep in boiling water, use 1 portion each time, as a substitute for tea.

3. Honeysuckle Licorice Bellflower Tea
Ingredients: Appropriate amount of honeysuckle, licorice, bellflower, and green tea.
Method: First, clean and dry honeysuckle, licorice, and bellflower separately. Cut licorice and bellflower into slices and put them together with honeysuckle in a sand pot. Add an appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, add green tea, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Filter the liquid with a clean gauze, transfer to a container. Take twice a day, morning and evening, or use as a substitute for tea. Take multiple times a day and finish within the same day.
Effects: Suitable for acute period of tonsillitis.
