When people experience difficulty in urination or have kidney inflammation causing edema, taking Gan Sui can quickly reduce the swelling and alleviate discomfort.
2. Breaking up accumulation and relieving constipation
Gan Sui is also a herb that enters the large intestine meridian. It can maintain the stability of the intestinal function, prevent intestinal flora imbalance, and effectively treat common symptoms such as abdominal distention, dry and hard stool, and constipation. For people with hidden pulse and a desire to relieve themselves, but the more they relieve themselves, the faster the symptoms of persistent hardness and fullness below the heart become, this is due to the removal of retained fluid: 3 large pieces of Gan Sui, 12 pieces of Ban Xia, 5 pieces of Bai Shao, 1 piece of Gan Cao (heated if the size is like a finger). Decoct in water, mix with honey and take it. The Gan Sui in the formula purges water and promotes drinking, making it the principal medicine.
[Precautions]
Raw Gan Sui is toxic and usually needs to be processed with vinegar before it can be used medicinally, with a ratio of 10 (raw Gan Sui) to 3 (vinegar) for processing.
According to the Eighteen Incompatibilities and Nineteen Fears, Gan Sui should not be taken with Gan Cao (licorice).
