A moist environment is particularly important for the growth of herbicide grass. Let's now learn about the cultivation methods of herbicide grass!

【The Value of Herbicide Grass】

Herbicide grass is particularly suitable for growing near water and is abundant in various parts of China.

In ancient times, when there was a shortage of food, people would go to the wild in spring to look for this wild grass. They would pick its tender stems and leaves and use it as a delicious wild vegetable. At that time, people would eat it as a nutritious vegetable to supplement their vitamins, and herbicide grass could also prevent some diseases when elderly people fed it to children.

Nowadays, herbicide grass is not only used for ornamental purposes but also used as an ingredient for hot pot. It feels interesting, and this is probably an eating method that only food lovers would think of.

【Cultivation Methods of Herbicide Grass】

Herbicide grass prefers warm and humid environments and requires sufficient moisture throughout its growth period. It is afraid of drought and is best cultivated in fertile and moist places.

Seed propagation: Sow in spring from March to April. Mix the seeds with fine soil before sowing, then scatter them on the bed, cover them with 1cm of soil, and finally cover with grass and water. The seedlings will emerge in 10-15 days, and the grass should be uncovered immediately. When the seedlings are about 10cm tall, they can be transplanted. Dig holes with a spacing of 30cm by 20cm per row and plant 3 seedlings per hole.

Cutting propagation: Cut healthy branches of about 12cm in length in spring, remove the leaves, and insert them into the soil at a depth of half the length of the cutting. Press firmly, water to keep moist, and transplant after rooting and leaf growth.

Division propagation: In spring from April to May, dig up the root clumps, divide them into clusters with multiple buds, and plant them in wetlands with sufficient basal fertilizer.

Field management: From planting to closing rows, weed the field 3-4 times a year. Apply nitrogen fertilizer or compound fertilizer once in spring and summer, and apply compost or stable manure once after autumn to keep the soil moist regularly. This is the key measure for cultivating good herbicide grass.
