Sitting board sores are mostly caused by sitting on a bench for a long time in the hot summer or in a damp and hot environment, which is more common in the summer. Sitting board sores are prone to occur on the buttocks and are also known as wind sores or old names such as tinea corporis.

How to properly view sitting board sores?

Sitting board sores are a colloquial term, and the symptoms of this disease include several types of dermatological diseases, such as eczema on the buttocks, which is caused by various factors leading to local skin allergic reactions, usually manifested as papules, papulovesicles, and in severe cases, there may be some exudation.

There may also be tinea cruris on the buttocks, which may present with certain redness, papules, papulovesicles, and some scales, etc.

In addition, it may also be buttock acne, which is usually manifested as consistent papules, redness, and even pustules on the buttocks. Therefore, sitting board sores actually include multiple skin diseases.

Traditional Chinese medicine treatment for sitting board sores

Regularly taking sitz baths, using mild soap or medicated soap for cleaning, can reduce the frequency of occurrence or recurrence and alleviate pain and shorten the course of the disease.

The buttocks tend to sweat a lot, and in a warm and humid environment, wearing tight clothes can easily cause fungal infections and lead to tinea cruris.

Patients with tinea cruris should pay attention to cleaning and drying after bowel movements, and clothing should be sun-dried or machine dried. External application of antifungal drugs can quickly cure the condition.

In addition, sitz baths are also important for preventing hemorrhoids. Take a sitz bath or clean the perianal area every day, and do pelvic floor exercises, and hemorrhoids will stay away from you forever.

Treatment methods for sitting board sores

The treatment should focus on dispelling wind and relieving itching, clearing heat and cooling blood. Internal administration can choose Xifeng San combined with cooling blood agents, or use Wuwei Xiaodu Yin with added flavor. External application can use decoctions of honeysuckle, Sichuan pepper, and Huangbai for fumigation and washing, or take a sitz bath with Sophora flavescens decoction. It is equivalent to treating buttock abscess.

1. Take dried cucumber peel, grind it into powder, mix it with alcohol, and apply it evenly. Another method is to chew raw sesame and apply it.
