Modern Application of Rudi Jinniu!

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Rudi Jinniu has the effects of dispelling wind, promoting blood circulation, relieving dampness, relieving pain, reducing swelling, and detoxifying. It is commonly used for conditions such as wind-cold-dampness bi syndrome, joint and bone pain, fractures, hernia pain, sore throat, stomach ache, intestinal colic, toothache, skin abscesses, and burns.

1. Pain relief: Use Rudi Jinniu injection, inject 2ml intramuscularly, 1-2 times a day. It is used to treat neuralgia, headache, rheumatism pain, and gastrointestinal colic.

2. Surface anesthesia and local anesthesia: Make Rudi Jinniu into a surface anesthetic and instruct the patient to bite on it. After 1-2 minutes, a surgical procedure or injection can be performed, and anesthesia takes effect within 3-6 minutes after injection.

3. Treatment for lower back and leg pain: Use a 20% Rudi Jinniu solution and use a low-frequency direct current induction therapy machine for ion introduction once a day for 20 minutes. A course of treatment consists of 10 sessions.

4. Treatment for acute tonsillitis: Take the second layer of skin from the root and stem of Rudi Jinniu, grind it into powder, and take it 4-6 times a day, 1 gram each time.

Three Combinations of Rudi Jinniu

1. Combination with Ma Huang (Ephedra)

Used to treat wind-cold-dampness bi syndrome. Ma Huang has a pungent and bitter taste, and it enters the qi aspect. It disperses cold pathogens and penetrates the skin and hair. Rudi Jinniu has a pungent and warm nature, and it enters the heart meridian and blood aspect. It disperses and warms, penetrates the Ying and Wei meridians, and has the function of promoting blood circulation and relieving pain. The combination of these two medicines can dispel wind, scatter cold, promote blood circulation, and relieve pain.

2. Combination with Niu Xi (Achyranthes Root)

Used to activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis. If there is a sprain or bruise that damages the meridians and arteries, leading to blood stasis and poor meridian circulation, the combination of Rudi Jinniu and Niu Xi can be used. Rudi Jinniu disperses stagnant qi and warms and opens the meridians. Niu Xi has a bitter taste, promotes blood circulation, removes blood stasis, strengthens tendons and bones, and has a downward direction. The combination of these two medicines can smooth the flow of qi and blood, promote blood circulation, and relieve pain.

3. Combination with Fu Ping (Floating Heart)

Used to diffuse the lungs, induce sweating, promote diuresis, and reduce swelling. If the disease is caused by wind and water, with lung deficiency and inability to diffuse, facial and head swelling, and difficulty in urination, the treatment should focus on diffusing the lungs, inducing sweating, promoting diuresis, and reducing swelling. Fu Ping has a pungent and cold nature, light and floating, and can induce sweating and relieve surface symptoms. Rudi Jinniu has a pungent and warm nature, and can diffuse and promote lung qi. It penetrates the Ying and Wei meridians. The combination of these two medicines can balance the cold and warm, diffuse the lungs, induce sweating, promote diuresis, and reduce swelling without causing excessive cold or heat.
