Refreshing Bu Zha Ye Soup: A Natural Remedy for Heat Relief

【Recipe: Bu Zha Ye Summer Withered Grass Snow Pear Lean Pork Soup】

Ingredients:

4 honey dates, 15g summer withered grass, 400g lean pork, 2 snow pears, 15g Bu Zha Ye, 8 bowls of water.

Instructions:

1. Wash Bu Zha Ye and summer withered grass; lightly rinse the honey dates;

2. Wet the snow pears with water, rub the skin with a little salt, rinse, cut each pear into 4 pieces and remove the core;

3. Wash the lean pork and cut into large pieces, blanch in boiling water;

4. Pour 8 bowls of water into a clay pot, add Bu Zha Ye and summer withered grass, bring to a boil, then add snow pears, honey dates, and lean pork. Simmer over low heat for one and a half hours. Season with salt and serve.

【Bu Zha Ye Encyclopedia】

Bu Zha Ye, also known as Po Bu Ye, Firecloth Hemp, Beng Bu Ye, Camellia Leaf, and Rotten Cloth Residue. It is the dried leaves of the plant Bu Zha Ye of the Styracaceae family. The best leaves are large and intact, with a yellow-green color and few petioles.

Taste and Meridian Tropism: Slightly sour, cool. It enters the spleen and stomach meridians.

Functions and Indications: It promotes digestion, clears heat, and eliminates dampness. It is used for food stagnation, fever and cold, and damp-heat jaundice.
