Can Wuzhuafeng reduce fever?

Wuzhuafeng cannot reduce fever. Its main functions are:

1. Chronic bronchitis

Wuzhuafeng (Ficus virens) 60g, Pengqianshi (Rhododendron) 24g, Gonggai (Vitex trifolia) leaves 30g, Ganmomi (Houttuynia cordata) 12g, Baimianfeng (Achillea millefolium) 9g, Jiemomei (Celastrus orbiculatus) 15g. Decoction, taken twice daily.

2. Anemia

Wuzhuafeng (Ficus virens), Maloushuang (Eucommia ulmoides), Jiucengfeng (Paederia scandens), Jieduanpang (Nymphaea tetragona), Zoumafeng (Aster tataricus) each 15g. Cook with pig's feet and consume.

3. Cardiac diseases (heart disease and coronary heart disease)

Wuzhuafeng (Ficus virens), Jiucengfeng (Paederia scandens), Jiulongzuan (Cissus quadrangularis), Baowanfeng (Agastache rugosa), Sifangzuan (Cissus quadrangularis) each 10-15g. Decoction, coronary heart disease can add the fruit of Congliang (Myristica fragrans).

Traditional applications of Wuzhuafeng:

Treating pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, asthma, chronic hepatitis, ascites in cirrhosis, post-illness or postpartum weakness, insufficient postpartum lactation, cold stomach pain, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic pain in bones, postpartum wind, numbness in limbs, cardiac diseases, and anemia.

The original plant morphology of Wuzhuafeng:

Wuzhuafeng is a climbing shrub. The stem is densely covered with prickles and brown long hairs. The leaves are alternate, roughly circular, 8-13 cm long, 6.5-13 cm wide, palmately 5-lobed. The lobes are broadly lanceolate, sharply pointed at the apex, heart-shaped at the base, with irregular serrations along the margins. The upper surface is smooth and hairless, while the lower surface is densely covered with hairs along the veins. The petiole is 6-10 cm long, densely covered with fine prickles and long hairs. The stipules are deeply lobed.

The flowers are clustered in the leaf axils, sessile, with 5-lobed calyx, lanceolate lobes with hairs on the outside, 5 pale yellow petals, numerous stamens and carpels. The aggregate fruit is spherical and red. The flowering period is from May to June.
